Recent research on mobile security showed that the use of communications equipment was not associated with brain cancer. Research found no clear relationship between them. However, further studies need to be done considering the use of mobile phones continues to increase.
"The research did not reveal any increased risk. But we can not conclude that there is no risk at all because there are enough findings that indicate the likelihood of the risks," said Elisabeth Cardis, the main author of the research.
This conclusion is a study titled "Interphone" who reviewed the 2708 and 2409 cases of glioma tumor meningioma tumors in 13 countries for more than 10 years. This research dipubliaksikan in the International Journal of Epidemiology.
The study found no increased risk of glioma or meningioma tumors after 10 years of people using mobile phones even though the study found "hints of increased risk" for the most active users.
Most active users who put the phone in the same section chief reported 40 percent higher risk of suffering from glioma tumors and 15 percent of meningioma tumors. However, the researchers say, the causality is less powerful because of bias and error.
Experts recommend that the need for further research because the most active mobile users in this research are just talking about a half hour per day. This amount is considered not too heavy for today's standards.
Researchers have also conveyed to do a study on the impact of mobile phones among the younger generation, which has quickly become intensive users, and are not included in the Interphone study. Researchers assess, latest mobile phones have lower emissions. Handsfree usage and trends in the use qwerty keypad can also reduce the risk of radiation to the head.
